Complimentary breakfast was extensive but would have liked to have more variety of pastries!
The bar service on the deck was excellent and the view was lovely. The sun deck and ladder to the sea was wonderful.
We had a triple room with a curved balcony overlooking the beach, ocean, restaurants and Montana Roja. Bathrooms could use some counter space.

Amazing location directly on the beach, I could jump over the balcony down in the sand and ride the waves quicker than you can say "watch out for that wave!"

El Medano is a good sport for windsurfing, kiting and Wind foiling. Its is generally windy even during the winter months. The town is small enough to feel quite intimate and has a nice buzzing vibe. A great place to socialise after a day on the water. On less windy days there are options for biking, or generally keeping fit with running or walking.
We ate out for breakfast and dinner and sampled a variety of cafes and restaurants in the town, mainly close to the main square. We enjoyed the food at all of them. They're not fancy but the prices are very reasonable.

Plus point if you're on a short trip is that it's very near the airport (taxi approx €20 with tip). Small town with plenty of bars and restaurants, also good supermarkets if you're self catering. There are several beaches, and there are walking trails to the hills nearby (which you can see from the seafront). The centre of town and the main beach get quite busy, but if you prefer it quieter you can walk along the seafront to less busy areas - fewer bars and facilities, but some lovely beaches within 20 min walk. We were there early March - temperature was low to mid 20s, mostly sunny, some patchy cloud. If you're into sailboarding there are places to hire equipment & have lessons. It's a laid back place - no nightclubs and not rowdy. In summary, a good place to come to relax and enjoy the sea and sun. If you want clubs, loads of activities etc, probably somewhere else would suit you better.

This is not your normal kind of tourist resort, its more Spanish and has a lot of locals with families which we liked. Has a very good water sport facility, if you are into this. Not many sun loungers are available on the beach which we liked, made it more natural. We mainly used hotel pool which was good for us. Beach and town was kept clean, with lots of dogs around, we were impressed.
The nearby red mountain nature park area was very accessible and lovely to walk in, but you need good shoes.

Very nice town in the south of the island close to the airport. Everything is reached very nicely by car. The town offers a variety of really nice fish restaurants, supermarkets, bars, and even a few beaches in town or super close by. Perfect for a long or short stay - and even more perfect if you don't want to get a car, since it's super close to the airport (3 min drive) and has public transport.

We came here for for great windsurfing spot. Other than that it is a pretty boring place. Living is relatively inexpensive though. Public transportation is not bad, however there is no direct connection to anywhere. It is always necessary to change the bus at San Isidro.

El Medano is traditional Spanish beach village.
El Medano is traditional Spanish beach village. It is not a tourist hotspot and it has a very different feel to other areas of Tenerife. We enjoyed that aspect. There are still many restaurants and cafes to enjoy but not as many crowds.
Great as always! Michaela and the Happy Guy always super friendly and helpful. I love that this place have the actual rules so you know what to expect each time, it makes this place suitable for very diverse range of people. The area is ideal for those that want to disconnect completely and is non touristic comparing to other surrounding towns, however El Medano is less than 20 minutes away on foot. If you stay at the dining area probably gonna meet a lot of new and amazing people! With that being said I will be surely returning once again! G
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Some went out their way to help. The hotel looks like it used to be a 5 star hotel, the decor with the hanging sea shells, marble floors, heated swimming pool over looking the sea and the gate access to the sea which is a hop skip away all gives it great potential. However the management do not seem to have any vision for this place. It really could be better. The rooms over looking the sea is brilliant its almost a studio apartment size ! Bathrooms and old and dated but had hot water.
We wanted a place to stay that wasn’t in a lively area of Tenerife and this was perfect! A great apartment with all you need in the apartment. Great views from both balconies of the sea and loved watching everyone doing the water sports .
Yes the planes fly over but you only have to look at where you are staying to know it’s near the airport and it didn’t bother us .
The host Claudia could not do enough to help , kept in contact to check we were happy. Would definitely choose this place again .
The location is great, good quiet area for families. Our kids loved the location, loved the pool, although it was still cold in February (definitely not a heated pool).
I liked that the house complex had a racket court, the beach was nearby, good restaurants right in front of the door, the shop is not far away, etc.
We stayed in a particular apartment for 8 days, then traveled for more than a month in other areas of Tenerife. In summary, I can say that El Medano is a very good area!
Great location, we had a super big balcony with a wonderful view, very nice breakfast, very clean hotel, very polite staff. The hotel looks like a cruiser with two decks for sunbathing. The lower "deck", (where you also can take your breakfast), offers direct access to the ocean via a stairway - we liked this very much! After swimming, stairs up, you are back to the "deck" and your deck chair, you can order a drink and enjoy sunbathing and the view. Great value for money!
I highly recommend this hostel in El Médano, Tenerife if you are looking for a comfortable and clean atmosphere where it’s easy to make friends. The whole check in process is online, which is smooth and easy. The place has nice style, great access to transport and the beach, and the perfect atmosphere to meet new people on your journey. The bedrooms and the bathrooms are kept clean. Quite the best experience in a hostel that I have had in Tenerife. No complaints!!
The flat is simply great. It has everything you may need for your stay -we were eating out mostly, but it has a fully equipped kitchen- and its location couldn't better. You walk two minutes to the beach an have a small supermarket/shopping center right across the street. The communication from the host was opportune and clear. Everything was super clean and new. If I go back to El Medano, I would definitely love to stay here again!
We had a short stay, it was quiet and intimate, except for the planes, but the location is near the airport so it cannot be helped. There is a small groceries shop nearby. Parking was not a problem, this was great. The room is small, the sofa extends into a bed. I consider it ok for young couples. If you want to visit Tenerife, I suggest to rent a car.
The apartment was just perfect. They even leave a little bottle of wine as a welcome present. Everything was so clean and you would find whatever you need. And then you have those high quality mattresses where we could get back the stamina nedded to face a new day in Tenerife and do our best. Simply perfect.
The location is good - very close to cheap supermarket. Close to everything, but far enough from the center, so a crazy concert at the LENT was amazingly not audible at all. 10 minute walk to the South Bay. The apartment is well equipped (even with a washing machine!). The price was competitive.
Sunny Beach Villa is an excellent place to stay if you don't want to spend your holiday in a crowdy town at a big hotel. The house is nice and there is enough space for a whole family. The village El Medano is in walking distance and you can find fantastic fish restaurants there.
Top notch, el Médano hostel vibes, ocean view and Canaria international welcome.
Close enough to Tenerife south airport.
Friendly staff, exceptional mini library, chilled ambience across the outdoor terrace, pool zones.
Coffee capsules available to purchase.
Nice apartament, loads of space . Very clean . Good location not far from El Medano (20 mins walking distance) . Very close to a little beautiful beach which wasn't busy at all. 10 mins away from the airport ( Tenerife south ) . Very nice and friendly owners ☺️
Beds are comfy, location is great (and right at the bus stop for those who favor public transport), room was super clean. Free water refill was a nice extra touch, not very common. If I return to El Medano, I'd definitely choose this hotel again.
The location is perfect, just on the beach La Tejita. I had easily my walks almost every morning and evening on the beach! Supermarket and bars are walking distance! Beautiful and peaceful camping on the beach in Tenerife! I loved it!
Great villa. Lovely warm pool. Great location. Really liked El Medano. A good size with nice shops and restaurants. Some early niggles quickly fixed by Tom, who was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.
Wonderful place to stay in el Medano. Hostel is equipped with all required facilities and cleaned every day. Silence after 23h is highly respected and during the day italian mafia won't make you sit bored :D
Really friendly host and lovely accommodation - a great start to our Tenerife stay. Close to centre of town so very easy to find restaurants, shops etc.
