The view from out bedroom window overlooking St Ives harbour was fabulous, went to sleep and woke up with the waves hitting the rocks below us. Sadly balcony was shut due to windy weather.
No extra cost for a cooked breakfast. Good choice of menu for lunch/supper.

We when checked out, we were kindly offered towels to take to the beach & also allowed to leave our car in the carpark. We thought that this was above & beyond and Anne on reception that morning was exceptional! We would thoroughly recommend this hotel and the beach was amazing.

The design of the room is absolutely on point! The room has wonderful details.
The bed is amazing…so comfortable!
The location is great and was a plus that the restaurant was opened our first night there, our meal and wine selection was very good. Was a bit disappointing to not try more on the menu! The host is very friendly and helpful. There is a parking lot not far away, very convenient.

We had a wonderfully restful night’s stay in a junior suite. The views were phenomenal. The suite had everything we needed, and more. The pantry with lemon drizzle cake in the afternoons was one of the many highlights of our stay.

We stayed in one of the rooms out back. It was warm, Comfortable and had absolutely everything we needed. The grounds are beautiful and its a great location over looking the bay Unfortunately Sea Mist had rolled in the morning we were there so we couldnt enjoy the view. But a cracking place and we hope to go back there with our family in the near future.

The whole experience was perfect so much so we booked an extra night we loved it so much. Breakfast was amazing and the staff were on point. Definitely book a sea view room.

We had a 'Bay View' room, but the window looking over the Bay was 'sprung', so there was just condensation and we couldn't see anything. Frankly this was very disappointing as we had paid for a Bay View room but didn't get a proper view. I wish I had pointed this out when we checked out as I feel we should have had some money back as a result. Also, there were no proper lights in the room, so we couldn't read in bed. Also, why do English hotels insist on double quilts? These are unheard of on the continent - people have their own quilts - for goodness sake Harbour View catch up with the times!

The property I booked was outside the town of St Ives in a place called Consol. However, was advertised as being in St Ives. There was builders rubble in the parking space. I was told that my 'private entrace' was through the french windows of the property and I would not, as a single traveller, have felt secure in such a situation. I did not stay at this property and would be pleased to receive a refund please.

What a picturesque town with outstanding natural beauty and so much to see in the way of art and ceramics. It does get very crowded during holiday times so I would recommend going out of season. Highlights include the Tate St Ives, the Barbara Hepworth Studio, the various galleries and the beaches. The walking could be difficult for anyone with limited mobility but there are ways around that in terms of getting transport. A really stunning spot. Plenty of excellent places to eat from beach cafes to independent bakeries and coffee shops to fish restaurants. It seemed that everywhere was very dog friendly too and many visitors were there with their dogs.

I’ve been coming to St Ives for 50 years so I’m slightly biased but it is a beautiful place with 5 beaches. Numerous good places to eat. Lovely little shops with different crafty bits in. Mostly flat when you are in the town area. Good location for exploring more of Cornwall if needed but plenty to see and do in St Ives.
The hotel was a spacious resort with plenty of land, small golf course, tennis courts and wedding venue. It is better refined by resort than the term castle. The room was nice, well appointed, and had a great view of St Ives nearby. The resort is situated on a hill above the surrounding towns, but close enough to walk 15 minutes away. The resort is better for extended stays. To be fair, only staying one night we didn’t get to enjoy what the resort was designed for. For only one night, I would stay somewhere else.
My mum & I had the best 4 nights at Pedn Olva! The location is absolutely perfect, the hotel has the most amazing views from all angles and is well positioned between the town and all the beaches so you'll never have to walk too far. The pool and sunlounger area is great - there is also a lovely terrace with plenty of space - we felt like we were abroad! Our bed was one of the comfiest I've ever slept in and the breakfasts we had every morning were delicious. We would definitely return!!
This is a scam!! Cornwall retreats do not own Rosewall cottage and are advertising- was called a week before by real owners of the cottage that we would not have a place to stay. Still in the process of sorting a refund- a man called Thomas Curnow is running these listings and not refunding money!! Save yourself and go to a hotel.
Booking.com is doing nothing about it. £615 out of pocket and no where to stay- absolutely disgusting
It was clean, we stayed in a ‘gold’ pet friendly chalet - I think ‘gold’ is a little misleading. Functional, clean, warm - could benefit from a plug air freshener you can smell dogs (but to be expected in a dog friendly accommodation):
The site was clean, the woodland walk was nice, the staff were welcoming, pizza nice from restaurant.
Location good as a base for exploring Cornwall. Carbis Bay beach stunning.
An extremely nice boutique style hotel a few minutes walk form the centre of St Ives and very close to Porthminster beach. Breakfast choice was very good and the food and service excellent. Enjoyed a couple of happy hours (two for one) with delicious sauvignon blanc! Mihaka, the host, was very pleasant and full of useful information. Nicely furnished. All a very pleasant experience.
We walked in and were immediately impressed with the room and bathroom. Modern, clean, beautifully put together. So comfortable (comfortable and good size bed makes the stay so much better) and a large room, very centrally located in the heart of St. Ives. We couldn't have asked for more and a very reasonable price. We would love to use this accommodation again.
Jan is a wonderful experienced hosts,
We really enjoyed staying jwith Jan she's so kind and helpful the rooms were lovely and clean breakfast to go was great fridge was well stocked up with food a nice touch .
And the Carbis Bay Beach is 8 minutes walk
If you're looking for a nice friendly hotel in St ives Cornwall Beechwood House hotel is just great.
The location of the hotel and view from the hotel room were amazing. Generally the staff were very helpful and professional. The spa with its outdoor pool (heated to 30'C) is a great facility and the gardens are well looked after. The location, views, food, service and general experience at the Ugly Butterfly were the high spot of the holiday.
Great location. Came by train and it's literally just off the station! Staff very welcoming and helpful. Room was absolutely beautiful. Great view of the Bay, warm, clean and spacious. Value for money. Evening meal and breakfast offered but we were meeting family. Will definately be returning. Thankyou to all the staff.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was really cool and spotlessly clean! Amazing location, close to the train station and town.
Great breakfast and a lovely welcome drink.
We came back from a meal out to a singer/guitarist. Great stay!
The hotel was near the train station which made for a convenient travel. The property itself was clean and inviting while the staff was absolutely attentive and very courteous. The food was delicious! Would definitely come back here again.
The hotel is in a great location 10 mins walk into town, and less than 10 mins walk to Porthmeor beach.
The room is spacious and had free parking
There was a communical kitchen and outdoor sitting area which is really nice.
The house was less than a mile from Tate St. Ives, Joby was so helpful in helping us find the location (our gps was wrong), gave us great recommendations, and it was well worth the money!
The style and facilities of the room were amazing, very spacious with everything that was needed during our stay. The location the hotel was in was also bonus!
